Medtral New Zealand is committed to making the process of receiving medical treatment in New Zealand as simple as possible for you.

Your personal International Patient Co-ordinator will guide you through the Medical Tourism travel process and help you at every step. If you prefer that we liaise directly with your local doctor to complete all documentation we will send the information directly to them on your behalf.

Registration

Contact us to find out more about our services or to register for treatment in New Zealand. Our International Patient Co-ordinators will answer any questions you may have, register your details and send you our Medical Evaluation Form.

Medical Evaluation Form

This provides us with necessary information about your medical condition and general health status. The Medical Evaluation Form helps us to understand more about you and your requirements, it is also needed for our specialist to review your condition.NZ5.jpg

Diagnostic Tests

Your diagnostic test results are required to thoroughly assess your case and enable us to provide a quote to you. Your International Patient Co-ordinator will advise you of the results we require to enable you to have your procedure performed in New Zealand.

Receive your Quote

Once your medical evaluation has been completed by a specialist your International Patient Coordinator will help you to create a tailored travel package to meet your needs. All of your preferences, including information about travel companions you choose to bring with you, will be included in the quote for your entire travel and treatment package. To then confirm bookings, you must pay 40% of the total package cost within 10 working days of receiving the quote after which time we may need to re-price any travel arrangements.

Medical Visa Application

All travelers coming to New Zealand for the purpose of Medical Treatment require a Medical Visa. Your International Patient Co-ordinator will provide you with the appropriate forms and instructions for completion. They will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about this Visa.

If you have heart disease you may require a medical fitness for air travel (MFAT1) form completed by your local doctor. Your International Patient Coordinator will inform you if this is required.

Travel and Receive Treatment

Before you depart for New Zealand you will be sent a travel pack with your air tickets, itinerary and the details of your treatment. Once you arrive you will be met at the airport in New Zealand and taken to your accommodation. Once settled into your accommodation your International Patient Co-ordinator will meet with you to go through your itinerary, answer any questions you may have. Transport will be provided to and from the hospital and any specialist appointments prior to your medical procedure.

After your medical procedure and once you have been discharged from hospital, nursing care and physiotherapy will be arranged to visit you at your accommodation, assisting you in the rehabilitation and recovery process.

We have tried to anticipate everything so you won't have to worry about about a thing.
